Moving Forward: Preparing My OIA Appeal

The University's Decision and My Next Steps

The university's choice to expel me has been tough, but I'm not giving up. This month has been all about getting ready for my appeal to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA).

Help from the Students' Union

The Students' Union has been a real lifeline. We've talked through every detail of my situation. The representative (Ni) helped me understand how to put together a strong appeal that tells my full story - not just about what happened, but about who I am and how I've grown.

Putting the Pieces Together

My mentor and I are working hard to collect every piece of evidence that shows my commitment to getting better. We're building a clear picture of my journey - the mistakes I've made, the lessons I've learned, and my determination to be a better professional.

Therapy and Personal Growth

My therapy sessions have been key. We're looking at why I made past mistakes and how I'm working to be different. It's not about making excuses, but about really understanding myself and making real changes.

A Bit of Academic Progress

I've kept up with some research work, continuing to write and reflect on medical ethics. These projects help me stay focused and show my ongoing commitment to learning and growing. Two research projects have been underway abroad.

Staying Hopeful

As November ends, I feel more prepared. The OIA appeal is a chance to show that people can change, that one mistake doesn't define a whole career.

With determination, Mohammad
